Runewards act as markers – a signal of important territory for each of the races. Legend tells that they are built upon the foundation ley lines of magic that course through the earth of Hvalla. A warg that stands closer to the Runeward of their people supposedly feels their magic grow and strengthen. Runewards are thought to have been created as a sign that the people of the kingdom follow the will of Fenrir and Jord and are bringing balance to Hvalla.
