Currency

01

Overview

Currency in Hvalla is comprised of gold, silver, and copper. A coin will always be worth ten times the denomination below it and one tenth the denomination above it; i.e.: 100 Copper = 10 Silver = 1 Gold.

Currency earned in game can be used to purchase items from shops, such as armor, potions, and accessories.

Copper

Silver

Gold

A large coin.

It has the lowest value and is made from the lowest quality material - copper. This coin chips easily. Both sides are simply made with a mark on one side to mint the season and year the coin was made. A triangular cutout at the center allows for easy handling or threading on a string or tie.

100 Copper Makes 10 Silver

A medium sized coin.

It has a medium value and is made from an average quality material - silver. One side is simply made with a mark to mint the season and year the coin was made, while the other side has a simple triangle carving around the central cutout that allows for easy handling or threading on a string or tie.

10 Silver Makes 1 Gold

A small coin.

It has the highest value and is made from the best quality material - gold. One side has a mark to mint the season and year the coin was made, while the other side is complex and highly decorative with intricate carvings. A triangular cutout at the center allows for easy handling or threading on a string or tie.

Earning Currency

Upon opening an account, wargs can earn coin by completing activities, crafting, and redeeming the loot they earn in the bank

The activities you are most likely to get consistently high value items from in descending order are:

  • Hunting
  • Exploration
  • Scavenging

Though the chance is lower, you can also earn coin in different forms of combat with the most coin to least coin in descending order:

  • Combat PvE against predators
  • Combat PvE against prey
  • Combat PvP

Combat doesn't always yield coins, however, and you will more often earn loot as a reward. In addition, only the winner receives loot in PvP combat, and you only receive loot if you kill the creature in PvE.

Selling Items

You can sell the items you earn in activities in exchange for currency. Items all have different values, so what you earn will change depending on what you find, with legendary and epic items earning the most, and poor and trash items earning the least. Trash items have no value except to be sold.

You can also sell higher value items that you have crafted from lower value items, for a bigger pay day.

You can see exactly how much items are worth in their respective price sheets.
